Marbella's Puerto Banus, named after the developer Jose Banus is world famous and well over four million people visit or use it every year. The marina manages to combine the authentic atmosphere of a harbour along with the presence of the finest private yachts and the famous personalities who travel on them, and who can be seen strolling around the port and its designer boutiques or sitting on the terraces of the many bars and restaurants. It is almost impossible to not see a Ferrari, Bentley or Porsche park up on the habour!

 

 

The beaches around Puerto Banus are kept beautifully clean. Even at the height of summer you will be hard pressed to find any litter along the beaches. The cleaning teams are out early and what with the no dogs allowed ruling, the comfort for the sunseeker is always paramount.

The nightlife in Puerto Banus is incredible, with a huge choice of alfresco bars, casinos, piano clubs and discos. Puerto Banus and Marbella boast some of the finest stores in the world for clothes,furnishings and all the accessories of luxury living. If shopping is your passion designer names such as Gucci, Chanel, Armani and Versace are here in abundance. For another view of the marina, boat trips are available on a regular basis. Also available for hire is a range of sporty water transport.

Puerto Banus has a multi cinema complex with original soundtracks. This is the only one in the Costa del Sol! In addition, there is horse riding, hang-gliding, hot air ballooning in the hills and a lot of superb gymnasiums. There is a market on Saturdays at the Bullring for more reasonably priced clothes and holiday bargains.
